Camphor essential oil comes from a tree. The essential oil is steam distilled from the wood, creating a colorless oil. Some of the countries that produce Camphor essential oil include Borneo, Sumatra, China and Japan. Camphor essential oil has traditionally been used as an insect repellant (flies and moths), as well as being utilized in detergents, soaps, disinfectants and room sprays.

With a woody scent almost reminiscent of eucalyptus, Camphor essential oil has the potential to help you bounce back from coughs, colds, and maybe even bronchitis. This oil may also help treat rheumatism, muscle aches and pains, as well as skin ailments such as rashes and bruises.

Camphor essential oil blends well with Frankincense essential oil, Ylang Ylang essential oil, Orange essential oil and Mandarin essential oil.

Use with care. Avoid during pregnancy. Epileptics and asthmatics, as well as people with fever, should avoid camphor.
Overdoses can cause convulsions and vomiting. Do not use in aromatherapy masasage.
